Hey guys! We are going to be having an end of the school year party at the church Sunday, May 20. We’re going to order pizza and have fun and games planned just to relax as the school year comes to a close.

Feel free to invite any friends to come and join us! There will be NO small groups meeting that night. Just good old fashioned fun and food. All we ask is that you bring some drinks and snacks to share with everyone as we will only be providing pizza. Call Chris if you have any questions.

We are kicking off our final series for this semester called “liveSTRONG”. We are going to take 4 weeks and go through the book of Philippians to see how we can “liveSTRONG” by the example Jesus gave us and by the words and example of the Apostle Paul. Join us for this final series as we close out the semester. Hope to see you Wednesday nights at 7!

Here is a list of things we’ve got going on this week for the Tiffin City Schools Spring Break. Wanted to give you guys something to do if you were wanting to have fun this week. We’d love to have you join us!

Monday—2pm at the YMCA, there will be a 2 on 2 basketball game between Payge Smith and Jocelyn Cole versus Chris and Travis at 2pm. Any and all are welcome to join us and cheer on your favorite pair. We will be going to Uncle Mike’s for Ice Cream afterwards, so a couple bucks might not hurt.

For those of you who DO NOT have a YMCA membership, if you want to come watch the basketball game today at 2pm, you’ll need to sign in at the front desk as a guest and let the person working that you are with Christ’s Church at Tiffin. If you don’t, it’ll cost you money.  I worked out a deal to get you all in for free, but don’t abuse it.

Tuesday—2pm at the Sand Volleyball Pits at Hedges Boyer Park. We are going to be playing volleyball with whoever would like to show up. Any and all are welcome.

Wednesday—7pm at the church. We are going to have a service night. So far, we’re looking at going to Alex Smith’s home (member of our church) and help with some yard work. Please dress accordingly. You might not get overly messy, but don’t wear your best clothes. We will be back at the church about 8:30.

Thursday—2pm at Hedges Boyer Park. We will be getting together for Ultimate Frisbee. Anyone who wants to come play, we will meet in the middle of the park where we’ll have the most room.

Friday/Saturday—We will be having a guys and girls all-nighter at the church this Friday, April 6, 2012. Anyone is welcome to attend. We will be ordering pizza, playing group games, and having other things going on as well (video games, makeovers for the girls, etc.). There will be both male and female adults present. We will be starting about 8pm on Friday and sending you home about 8am.

*We will be possibly going to Uncle Mikes for ice cream a couple days this next week as well. We’ll let you know by text alert when those happen, as well as keep you informed of the events we’re putting together. Text CCSTUDENTS to 41411 to stay up to date on what’s going on this week.

Next Wednesday, March 14, we are starting a brand new 3-week series called “Power of a Changed Life.” We’re going to look at God’s Mercy, pursuing a lifestyle of worship, and the result of a changed life. It’s going to be a good series that will hopefully allow students to understand that there is so much more than merely coming to church or youth group-to understand the blessings and grace God gives us and that He calls us to live a life that honors Him in all we do.

When we finish this series, we’re going to have a night of service on Wednesday, April 4. We did one last semester that almost got rained out. Hopefully this semester will have better opportunities. So, hopefully we’ll have a good turnout as we show others the love of God by serving others.

We are kicking off a new 3-week series this upcoming Wednesday night, February 22, 2012, called “Trapped”. We’re going to look at how we are trapped in our past, our identity, and our sin. Over the next 3 weeks, we will be hoping to look at how God calls us to live as we were created and how to live a free life that God desires to give us. Don’t miss out on this series! Invite your friends. It’ll be a good one!

We are starting a brand new 3-week series tonight called “How to Annoy Your Family”. It’s all about the role you play in the life of your family. We will be looking at some different aspects of family life as it relates to God’s ultimate design for families. We will also look at what role you play and what you can do to make sure you have better relationships with your family. Come and invite your friends. It’s going to be a good series!

We are back after a short sabbatical from youth group this Wednesday, January 4 with a brand new series called “Something Bigger”. It’s going to be a great time where we look at the lives of 4 different Bible characters and how their lives can teach us things for ours today. Come and join us at 7! Hope to see you there! Just as a reminder, there is currently no more Wednesday night youth group for the remainder of the year due to other scheduling conflicts and time needed for preparation for next semester. We will resume in January 2012.

Hey guys! We’re having our Youth Group Christmas party this Wednesday night at 7pm at the church. We’re asking that you bring a no more than $5 white elephant gift to exchange. *Please don’t bring anything valuable that you might be sad if you don’t get something of equal value…it happens every year* We’re also asking that guys bring some form of drinks and for the girls to bring snacks to share. We will be finished about 8:30 as usual. Any questions, feel free to call the church at 419-447-0042.

P.S. This will be the last official Wednesday night of the year due to potential weather issues and planning for the next semester. We MAY still have a guys/girls night in the following weeks, but check the website to be sure of when that is taking place (weather permitting).

Wanted to let you all know of a few upcoming things to be aware of:

1. We are currently still in our “Storytime” series for the next 2 weeks. Hopefully you can make it to the last couple.

2. We will NOT be having “Something Different” on November 23 due to Thanksgiving.

3. We are having a “Ask Anything” night on November 30. Come the next couple of weeks to write down some questions you might have about the Bible, or life, or anything in general and we’ll discuss them (anonymously) on the 30th.

4. Youth Group Christmas Party is on December 7. We’re starting at the normal time at 7pm-8:30pm. We are gonna play some holiday games and have a white elephant gift exchange (no more than a $5 gift). All we ask is that you bring a snack or drinks to share.

5. We are canceling all regular Wednesday night things after December 7 through the end of the year. We may still have a group movie night, a  guys/girls night, and possibly other things instead. We’ll keep you informed of that as those things come about.
